Prof. Dr. Evgenia Krasteva-Blagoeva is a lecturer in the Anthropology Department of the New Bulgarian University. Main research interests: food and nutrition, consumer culture, urban anthropology, ethnology of socialism and post-socialism. Elected for three terms as a member of the executive board of the International Association of Anthropology of Southeast Europe INASEA (2007, 2009, 2011).  President of  INASEA (2014-2016). Guest lecturer at the Institute of Ethnology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, at the Summer School of Balkan Anthropology in Konitsa, Greece, at the Pantheon University of Athens and at Charles University - Prague. Head of research projects in the field of anthropology dedicated to nutrition and  the cultural dynamics of post-socialism in Bulgaria, such as "Bulgarian fast and slow eating culture at the beginning of the XXI century" and "New Consumer Practices of XXI century: Anthropological Perspectives".
