Doctor of Sociology and Cultural Anthropology from Paris Descartes University and Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Velislava Perova is a lecturer in the Cultural Studies; department at Sofia University. Until recently a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. She is mainly engaged in urban studies and economic ethnography.
